Upper Hunter Wellbeing Week is a community-wide initiative led by Upper Hunter Where there’s a Will and their team of student leaders, bringing together workplaces, schools, sporting clubs, community organisations and individuals to celebrate, promote and prioritise wellbeing and helping to push wellbeing literacy beyond the school gates.
Become a Wellbeing Commitment Partner and join a growing network in the Upper Hunter community making wellbeing a visible priority during Wellbeing Week and beyond. By becoming a Commitment Partner, you’re taking a simple, public step towards making wellbeing part of everyday conversations and culture.
Throughout the week, we’ll be encouraging our community to take part in simple yet meaningful activities that inspire healthier habits, stronger relationships and positive conversations, along with offering FREE Mental Health First Aid Training.
This year, our focus is simple:
Building a community where more people know how to recognise, respond and support someone experiencing a mental health challenge.
Mental health challenges affect every community.
Every workplace. Every sporting club. Every school. Every family.
Imagine if every organisation across the Upper Hunter had someone trained to recognise when a person may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis and knew how to respond with confidence until appropriate professional help is available. That is the vision behind this year’s Wellbeing Week.
Thanks to the support of our funding partners, Upper Hunter Where There’s A Will is proud to offer FREE accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to community members during Wellbeing Week.
Whether you’re a manager, teacher, coach, volunteer, parent or simply someone who wants to better support those around you, Mental Health First Aid provides practical, evidence-based skills that can make a real difference.
Our aim is to build a growing network of Mental Health First Aiders across the Upper Hunter, creating communities that are better equipped to support one another.
