For those of you who would like to express your gratitude for what we have in the Upper Hunter, we are providing an opportunity for you to do so in this Covid-19 environment. Put your creativity hats on, and express it on a piece of fabric that we provide. We have left 12 pieces of fabric (12inch pieces) with instructions in each of the following towns:

• Scone: Luck’s Premium Cuts
• Murrurundi: Murrurundi Pharmacy
• Merriwa: Di’s Clothing Patch
• Denman: Dapkos
• Muswellbrook: Finder’s Keepers Giftware and Fabric
• Aberdeen: Barton’s Newsagency

We are asking adults in our community to use whatever resources they have at home to create an image onto fabric to express what they are grateful for in their communities. What do you love about your town?

Use fabric paints and pens, glue things on, stitch fabrics, bows, ribbons and buttons – whatever you have. Be adventurous, maybe cut some things up you have at home, recycle some things, it’s up to you.

Collect the fabric and instructions in your town this week, ending Friday 15 May and return by 5 June 2020.

Lindy will collect your pieces and make them into wall hangings which will feature each town on each hanging, we will advertise where they will be hung, as they tour around the Upper Hunter.
